Got bread? Turn it into a fabulous meal with these easy recipes. Create delicious dishes using any kind of bread.

Extra Bread?

Have you recently learned how to make sourdough bread? Are you loving it?!! (These are a few of my favorite sourdough bread recipes – white, honey oat, multigrain).

Making your own bread is fun, fulfilling and fabulous! However, fresh bread and butter can only go so far…I mean pretty darn far especially if it is fresh out of the oven. 🙂

However, when it comes to meal time, bulking up that healthy loaf of bread with more nutrition is also a good idea. And it doesn’t have to be sourdough to use these recipes. Any kind of bread will work, even store bought!

And a Few Others, Just for Fun

When I have loaves of bread that don’t turn out super well I always use the bread any way in one of these three simple ways. I burned a loaf so bad one time and so I just cut off the outside and chopped it up into cubes and made croutons. I have over risen loaves that have big bubbles and are wonky shaped or had bread not rise very well and so they are flat and dense. Use them anyway! Bread is bread – especially in these forms!

Croutons

Breadcrumbs

Garlic bread

Here are just a couple of my ugly loaves that have been loving turned into one of the above items! I wish I had a picture of the very middle loaf before I cut all the burned outside off! It was bad.

How else do you use a loaf of bread for a meal?? I’d love to add your ideas to my “meals to try” list!
